We know AFL Fantasy is primarily a midfielder’s game, much like the Brownlow Medal, and when you look at Port Adelaide’s season averages from 2018 it generally follows that adage.

Justin Westhoff is both Port Adelaide’s highest scoring and most expensive player, and for good reason, as the only player to average over 100 points in 2018.

Ollie Wines wasn’t too far behind him with 93.45 per game while Brad Ebert, Travis Boak, Robbie Gray and Tom Rockliff are generally reliable choices who will score you 80 or more points on average.

The problem is, they all come with a price tag.

If you are looking for a bargain it’s hard to go past Willem Drew at $170,000. He can fit in as either a midfielder or a forward and based on his pre-season form, is expected to play early in the season, especially in the expected absence of the injured Ollie Wines.

The Power recruited well in the off-season and its draftees Connor Rozee ($262,000), Zak Butters ($248,000) and Xavier Duursma ($236,000) are also good value going on pre-season showings.
