PORT ADELAIDE’S Sam Powell-Pepper has been nominated for the Coats Hire Goal of the Year for his crumb and kick in mid-air against Richmond on Saturday.

Powell-Pepper swooped on a Nathan Broad spoil on the goal-line, jumped and grabbed the football and before he hit the ground had slammed through the major.

The 21-year-old will be competing with Melbourne’s Christian Petracca and Gold Coast’s Alex Sexton for the best goal in Round 4.
