OUTS: Burton (hamstring), Johnson (omitted), Marshall (omitted)

PORT ADELAIDE will make at least three changes to the side that lost to Adelaide in last weekend’s Showdown.

Defender Ryan Burton has been ruled out with a hamstring strain, while forwards Aidyn Johnson and Todd Marshall have both been omitted.

Ken Hinkley confirmed Zak Butters would be one of the players returning to the side to face Gold Coast in his weekly press conference.

Six other players have been included in the 26-man squad to face the Suns on Sunday, with two potential debutants named - Joel Garner and Peter Ladhams.

Sam Mayes is also one of the inclusions, and if named in the final team on Friday afternoon, will make his club debut - after playing 101 games for Brisbane.

Joe Atley, Riley Bonner and Billy Frampton have also been included in the extended squad.

The Power will name their final 22 on Friday afternoon.

THE MAGPIES will lose a lot of experience to AFL duties when they face Adelaide at Alberton Oval on Saturday afternoon.

Eight Power-listed players are missing from the side that defeated Central District a fortnight ago before the SANFL-wide bye last weekend.

Marshall and Johnson return to the Magpies line-up, after being omitted from the Power side.

Matthew Appleton, Dallas Hill, Simon Wong, Jack Strange Ben Edwards have also been named to take on the Crows.

Any player who is listed as an AFL emergency and isn’t required for AFL duties will be available for the SANFL.

Unfortunately, Sam Hayes – who was expected to return from his knee reconstruction last year – has been diagnosed with glandular fever.

Port host Adelaide at Alberton Oval from 1.40pm on Saturday afternoon.
