FIVE talented young footballers have recommitted to the Port Adelaide Football Club by signing contract extensions to remain at Alberton.

2018 first round draftees Zak Butters, Connor Rozee and Xavier Duursma have signed on to stay at the club for another two years, tying them to the Power until the end of 2022.

Defender Joel Garner has also signed on for another two seasons, keeping him at the club until the end of 2021, while midfielder Jake Patmore has agreed to a one-year contract extension.

“It is pleasing to have five outstanding young men commit their future to the Port Adelaide Football Club,” said General Manager – Football, Chris Davies

“In just their first or second years at the club, they have demonstrated incredible professionalism and a want to improve, in line with the development we expected when we drafted them.”

Duursma and Rozee, each 19, have played every game this season and have each been nominated for the NAB Rising Star while Butters, 18, has played every game but one.

Garner, 20, made his AFL debut in the Round 9 win over Gold Coast, and has now played three games, averaging eleven disposals and four marks.

Patmore is yet to debut at AFL level. The 20-year-old played every SANFL game last season in his first year at the club before suffering a ruptured ACL during a pre-season trial match.
