PORT ADELAIDE key forward Charlie Dixon has been nominated for the Round 21 Coates Hire Goal of the Year, for his brilliant solo effort against Sydney on Saturday afternoon.

Dixon ignited the home crowd when he gathered the football at the top of the goal square, spun out of one tackle then sold come candy to Swans co-captain Dane Rampe, before snapping truly on his non-preferred left foot.

The 28-year-old finished with three goals against Sydney at Adelaide Oval, to take is 2019 tally to nine goals from his seven appearances.

The 200-centimetre key position player is up against Collingwood’s Jack Crisp and Adelaide co-captain Taylor Walker for this week’s award.
