JACK TRENGOVE was the sole Port Adelaide representative in the 2019 The Advertiser SANFL Team of the Year.

Trengove - who finished equal-fifth in this year’s Magarey Medal - was named in the centre, after a brilliant season where he averaged more than 31 possessions a game.

The 28-year-old polled 15 votes in the Magarey, and would have been a real contender for the SANFL’s highest individual honour if it hadn’t been for a leg injury that saw him miss five games in 2019.

Port’s grand final opponents Glenelg had five players selected in the team, while the Bay’s Mark Stone was named the coach.

The Team of the Year is selected by the SANFL’s Adam Kelly, Tom Hurley and Zac Milbank together with The Advertiser’s Warren Partland, Channel Seven’s Mark Soderstrom and SANFL Budget editor Peter Cornwall.
