ROBBIE Gray is leading Port Adelaide’s John Cahill Medal count at the mid-point of the season.

Or at least that’s what the majority of Power fans are saying, according to portadelaidefc.com.au’s BIG PORT SURVEY, which quizzed the club’s members on nearly 100 questions covering everything from players, the state of the game, the future of the club and the life of the supporter.

REP FOOTY: Supporters call for State of Origin to return

Gray is the resounding favourite to take out this year’s John Cahill Medal – the honour awarded to the club’s best player – for the second year running.

He romped home to win his first best-and-fairest in 2014 after returning from a year-long anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Although he had a quiet start to the year, Gray's form has been consistently strong for the bulk of the season, and he leads Port Adelaide's polling in a number of other polls, including portadelaidefc.com.au's Wok in a Box Fans' MVP, the AFL Coaches' Association Champion Player award and the Advertiser's Merv Agars Medal.

The BIG PORT SURVEY showed over 35 per cent of Port supporters rate Gray to be leading the John Cahill Medal count at the midpoint of the season, with just over 22 per cent saying Travis Boak will be the best and fairest bridesmaid for the second year running.

Jack Hombsch is a smokey to finish in the top three, ahead of Chad Wingard and Brad Ebert.

Gray leading the way

Results also showed Robbie Gray is regarded as the best player on the Power's list with over half of the club's fans voting in his favour.

One-in-five fans say Travis Boak is the club's best player, with 13% voting for Chad Wingard.

It adds another string to the bow of the reigning best-and-fairest.

His favouritism to lead (if not win) the Power's highest honour, should come as no surprise give he leads his teammates in every poll.
