Defender Ryan Burton trained well last week, a fortnight after knee surgery.

PORT ADELAIDE reported no new injuries out of its loss to Brisbane on Saturday night and has a couple of players edging closer to a return this week.

Defender Ryan Burton trained well last week, a fortnight after knee surgery, and will be in the mix for selection for the Round 6 game against Greater Western Sydney.

Wingman Xavier Duursma is progressing well through his rehabilitation and is nearing a return from a hamstring injury suffered in the Round three win over Fremantle.

In more good news, midfielder Willem Drew is ramping up his training and will move into drills by the end of the week.

The 21-year-old had surgery after fracturing his left foot in a pre-season game in March.

Port Adelaide will have a near full strength list to choose from for Sunday’s game against the GIANTS.

The club will on Thursday evening name its squad for the game at Metricon Stadium, before finalising the side on Friday.

Injury list

Ryan Burton – knee (test)

Xavier Duursma – hamstring (1-2 weeks)

Willem Drew – foot (2-4 weeks)
