The fans have spoken and Darcy Byrne-Jones has been voted the Fans MG MVP for Round 8.

Byrne-Jones was a clear stand out against the Saints, with his repeated efforts and defensive pressure giving him the nod from the fans.

The 24-year old was the leading possession getter for the Power, finishing the night with 21 disposals.

The 2019 best and fairest runner up was impressive across defence, collecting eight intercepts and 18 pressure acts.

Young wingman, Xavier Duursma came in second in the fans vote.

Duursma’s goal late in the third quarter to bring the margin back to just one point at the final break was a highlight of the night.

The roar from the home crowd was electric as the 21-year old brought out his iconic bow and arrow goal celebration.
