Defender Lienert played in Round 1 against Gold Coast but has had to bide his time since, while Rockliff returns having been given the last three weeks to find form.

He was among the better performers in a trial game against Adelaide last Saturday and adds valuable experience and grunt to Port’s midfield.

Willem Drew has been named in the side as an emergency, having successfully returned in that trial game from a long-term foot injury, while Bonner, Joel Garner and Boyd Woodcock are the other emergencies.

Port Adelaide takes on Melbourne at the Gabba in Brisbane from 7:50pm AEST / 7:20pm ACST on Thursday night.

It will be the seventh time the sides meet on neutral territory, with Port Adelaide holding a 4-2 record in those games held in Darwin and Alice Springs.
