The fans have spoken and Travis Boak has been voted the Fans MG MVP for Round 16.
Boak powered Port Adelaide from the middle in his side’s 36-point win over the Kangaroos, collecting a game-high 34 disposals and nine clearances.
The 32-year old also booted a goal, had eight score involvements, and a game-high 485 metres gained.
Claiming the top honours for the seventh time this season, Boak has well and truly locked away top spot on the MG MVP Leaderboard.
Coming in second place was midfield bull Ollie Wines.
The vice-captain contributed to Port’s midfield dominance, finishing with 30 disposals and seven clearances for the night.
Wines was also handy up forward, with six score involvements including two important goals in the space of three minutes to break the game open in the third term.
Young forward Zak Butters came in third place in the fans’ vote.
Butters’ attack and pressure around the ball was a stand out of his game, with senior assistant coach Michael Voss saying post-game he has joined Wines and Powell-Pepper as one of the side’s “bash brothers”.
The 19-year old collected 17 disposals, laid four tackles and kicked a goal on Saturday evening.
Tom Rockliff finished in fourth place after collecting 30 disposals, nine tackles and three clearances.
Rounding out this week’s voting was Sam Powell-Pepper (5th), Robbie Gray (6th), Hamish Hartlett (7th) and Karl Amon (8th).
This week the Power is back on home soil, hosting Essendon in a Saturday night twilight clash at Adelaide Oval.
