Port Adelaide medicos are hopeful defender Ryan Burton will be able to take part in the club's finals campaign despite his recent quad injury.

PORT ADELAIDE defender Ryan Burton is expected to be able to feature in the club’s AFL finals campaign despite a quad injury suffered in Saturday night’s win over North Melbourne.

Burton left the field in the first quarter and sat out the rest of the game after straining part of his right quad.

The injury is different from the injury the 23-year-old suffered earlier this year, and is expected to sideline him for the next two games against Essendon and Collingwood.

Forward Mitch Georgiades is the only other injury concern.

Georgiades continues to work through the hamstring injury that has kept him out of the last two games, and will be assessed at training later in the week.

The club will on Friday evening name its side for the game against the Bombers at Adelaide Oval.

Injury list

Ryan Burton – quad (2-3 weeks)

Mitch Georgiades – hamstring (test)
