PORT ADELAIDE defender Tom Clurey has been cleared to resume playing following surgery to repair his broken jaw.

Clurey has been sidelined since suffering the injury in the round 9 game against the Western Bulldogs.

Fellow defender Trent McKenzie will be monitored throughout the week having been subbed out of the weekend’s win over Sydney with a shoulder injury.

McKenzie sprained the SC joint, but was cleared of any bony injury, and could be available to face Hawthorn on Saturday night.

Forward Connor Rozee sprained the lateral ligament in his right knee in the first half of the win against the Swans, and will be monitored as the week progresses.

Hamish Hartlett could also be available after hip flexor soreness forced him to withdrawal from the side before the weekend’s game.

Jackson Mead will make his return from injury through the SANFL after recovering from a lacerated spleen, while Xavier Duursma is expected to be available next weekend after recovering from knee surgery following his injury against Richmond in round 4.

Forward Trent Burgoyne will miss the rest of the season after having surgery to repair his injured hamstring tendon.

Port Adelaide will name its side to face the Hawks at Marvel Stadium on Thursday evening.
