Taken as a rookie in 2016, Ladhams has taken some time to develop but increased his professionalism to become a key player in Port Adelaide’s run to the SANFL Grand Final in 2019, finishing runner up in the best and fairest that year. The former Norwood big man also made his AFL debut in 2019, finishing with five games and showing signs of his value both in the ruck and up forward.
2020 was a break-out year for Ladhams, who finished with ten games at AFL level. Remarkably agile and clever at ground level, coaches and teammates have lauded Ladhams’ ability to gather possessions and follow up his ruckwork, describing him as “an extra midfielder”.
