Since making his way to Port Adelaide as a delisted free agent in 2017, Trent McKenzie has made his name as a long kicking half back/wingman with one of the biggest kicks in the competition.
‘The Cannon’ plays as a traditional key defender, known best for his bombing kicks and desperation when the ball hits the deck. Playing all but a small handful games in 2023, McKenzie enjoyed an influential year on-field, seeing him emerge as one of Port Adelaide's most effective key defenders. He will be aiming to keep injury woes at bay and maintain his position in Port Adelaide’s backline.

The Port Adelaide Football Club acknowledges the land on which we train and play, are based on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. We respect their spiritual relationship with their country. We also acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of Australia and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living people today.
