Dean Brogan was rookie-listed by Port Adelaide in 1999 after playing basketball with the Adelaide 36ers and Newcastle in the NBL.

Brogan made his debut in 2001 and played 174 games in his time at the Power.

The big ruckman was part of the club's inaugural AFL premiership side in 2004.

He won the Showdown Medal in Round 6 of the 2009 season and was an integral part of the side.

Brogan retired at the end of the 2011 season before changing his mind and ending up at Greater Western Sydney.

He played with the Giants for two seasons and finished playing duties in 2013.

He took up a role as ruck coach at GWS following his retirement and at the end of the 2018 season was offered a part time role back at Alberton as Port's ruck coach.
