Port Adelaide trio Gemma Houghton, Indy Tahau and Matilda Scholz have been recognised for their outstanding 2025 campaigns, earning AFLW All-Australian squad of 42 selection.

The nominations cap off record-breaking and history-making seasons, with Houghton and Tahau etching their names in the competition’s record books.

For Houghton, the recognition marks another milestone in an already glittering career.

The two-time All-Australian (2019, 2020) and two-time extended squad member (2021, 2023) became the first player in AFLW history to kick 100 career goals this season, adding another 23 goals from 12 matches in 2025.

The 86-game* veteran enjoyed a career-best season in front of goal, finishing second in the league’s goalkicking tally and leading the competition for goal assists - further cementing her place as one of the AFLW’s most dangerous forwards.

Teammate Indy Tahau’s first-ever All-Australian nomination comes on the back of a breakout year that saw her top the league’s goalkicking leaderboard with 25 majors – the most goals ever kicked by a player in a single AFLW season.
