Ron Leaver is a member of the club’s Hall of Fame as part of the group which won an Australian record six premierships in a row.

THE Port Adelaide Football Club is mourning the passing of 1951 premiership player Ronald Herbert Robert Leaver.

A member of the club’s Hall of Fame as part of the group which won an Australian record six premierships in a row, Ron Leaver was named a reserve in the 1951 premiership side which started that incredible run.

He debuted that season and finished with 33 goals in 34 games between 1951 and 1954.

Leaver passed away aged 91 last week.

The club extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends and former teammates.
