Yartapuulti’s Janelle Cuthbertson will undergo surgery this week to repair a torn flexor tendon in her left middle finger.

While Cuthbertson won’t return to play for the remainder of the season, she will continue playing a valuable off-field leadership role.

Maggie MacLachlan will be tested this week to determine her eligibility for Round 8 selection.

The young defender sustained a lateral ankle sprain against Sydney but has returned to running and is expected to participate in full training this week.

Yartapuulti will name its team for this Saturday’s game against Gold Coast at 5:50pm ACDT on Thursday.
