Laquoiya Cockatoo-Motlap is a young forward who is a clean kick of the football and dangerous in the pocket. She was introduced to football at age 14 and went on to play for Queensland in the state’s U18 representative side, with the crafty forward also having been involved with the Gold Coast Suns’ AFLW Academy. She made her AFLW debut in Round 9, 2022, playing alongside twin sister Litonya.

Laquoiya’s family connection to the club extends to her uncle, Che Cockatoo-Collins, who proudly played for Port Adelaide for five years. The 20-year-old was de-listed by Port Adelaide at the conclusion of the 2023 season, bringing her two-year stint with the Power to a close.
