THE 2018 Tyrepower dash for cash grand final lived up to its blockbuster standing on Friday night, with the much-awaited clash of three quick runners going right down to the wire.

Three nervous finalists lined up to sprint for glory, and two very large cheques.

Daniel Pigliacelli - the speedy wingman from the Rosewater Football Club.

Beau Black - the ball of muscle from the Australian Defence Force All-Star Football team.

Jarrad Dartnall - the quiet but super slick runner representing the Welcome to Australia Group.

All three burst out of the blocks well, with Daniel pushing to an early lead and maintaining it for a majority of the race.

Jarrad was hot on his heels, with Beau not far away and poised for a barnstorming finish.

With 20 metres to go, Beau Black burst through the pack to storm home with such speed that I didn’t actually get the opportunity to take a snap as he obliterated the finishing tape.

All three finalists were the cream of the crop from our season of qualifiers, and they can be justifiably proud of their efforts.

Congratulations on a great final Daniel and Jarrad, and well done to Beau Black for a scintillating run.

Thank you very much to all of our contestants throughout the year, and a special thank you to our Premier Partner, Tyrepower, for their continued outstanding support.
