BRAD EBERT polled nine votes to finish as Port Adelaide's best placed player in the 2012 Brownlow Medal count at the Crown Palladium on Monday evening.

Ebert, the club's Fos Williams Medallist for best team man in 2012, attended the count with John Cahill Medallist Kane Cornes, leading goalkicker Jay Schulz and their partners.

The 22-year-old polled votes across four games, with a best-on-ground performance against North Melbourne in Port Adelaide's thrilling come-from-behind win in Round 8.

He received two votes in games against St Kilda, his first in the Power jumper, and then Gold Coast (Round 9) and Richmond (Round 23).

Fellow midfielders Hamish Hartlett and Travis Boak tied for second from the Port playing group with six votes apiece.

As anticipated, Hartlett was voted best on ground against St Kilda and Carlton and netted three votes accordingly in each game.

Boak, like Ebert, polled in four games - with single votes against the Gold Coast, Hawthorn (Round 20) and the Brisbane Lions.

He was named best on ground in the Round 17 game against Melbourne in the top end.

Matthew Broadbent was voted best on ground against the Suns alongside his senior teammates and also polled 2 votes against Carlton the following week.
