HAWKS livewire Cyril Rioli is a confirmed starter against Port Adelaide this weekend.

Hawthorn’s head of coaching and development Chris Fagan confirmed Rioli would likely play a full game on Saturday after playing as the sub last week.

It was the forward’s first game in nine weeks and he will feature at AAMI Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

“Cyril pulled up really well,” Fagan told the official Hawthorn website.

“He got exactly the amount of game time that we are after and he’ll step it up this week against Port Adelaide.”

Rioli may be joined in the side by Brent Guerra who is likely to push for selection this week according to the AFL's official injury list.

Both Grant Birchill and Liam Shiels are still undergoing rehabilitation from respective posterior cruciate ligament and ankle injuries, while Xavier Ellis is also an unlikely starter for last year’s grand finallists.

portadelaidefc.com.au will have comprehensive coverage of Team Selection on Thursday night at 5:55pm (ACST).
