The Port Adelaide senior coach says John Butcher will replace the suspended Justin Westhoff when selection is confirmed tonight.
It will mark Butcher's first game since he kicked two goals against the GWS Giants in Round 12.
He has since lined up for Port Adelaide's SANFL side where he most recently kicked three goals in a half.
Westhoff disappointed in tribunal outcome
"It makes sense we'll replace Hoff with Butch," said Hinkley.
"Butcher was unlucky to go out of the side and if he gets through training today it would make sense that we'd bring him in."
The only injury concern from Port Adelaide's loss to Essendon last Sunday was Jasper Pittard who was consigned to crutches following a foot injury.
But Hinkley says Pittard has recovered well and will play for the Power on Saturday
"Jasper's fine."
"He won't do much today (at training), he'll do a bit more tomorrow and we'd expect him to play."
Pittard has a chequered history with injury, having missed the majority of the 2012 season with mulitple setbacks.
But Hinkley says the club has taken no risks in bringing Pittard back on Saturday.
"He just needs to deal with that and we just make sure he becomes a resilient player, and that's what he will," said Hinkley.
AFL Multicultural Round: Many Cultures, one game
"We took a little bit of a risk and backed him in to push through (against Essendon) and he did for the second half of the game.
"Injuries to feet at the moment in AFL have been significant and we don't want to take any risks."
While Butcher seems a guaranteed starter in Port's lineup this week, Hinkley remained open to the prospect of further changes to his team.
Rain is forecast for Adelaide across the weekend and the selection committee will consider the conditions when choosing a final 22.
"We'll end up probably making one, maybe two changes," said Hinkley.
"We just need to make sure we've got the balance right with what the conditions look like being."
Port Adelaide hosts Hawthorn at AAMI Stadium at 1:15pm on Saturday afternoon.
