ALMOST 10,000 existing members have already secured their reserved seating at Adelaide Oval in 2014 as part of the first round of 'guaranteed' seat hold offers, with just days to go until the first seat-hold deposit period closes at 5:00pm on Friday.

Members who purchased their memberships before 15 March 2013 received a seat-hold guarantee for 2014 Adelaide Oval seating and subsequently received their seat offer in mid-August as the exclusive Guarantee period of seat allocations opened.

Any seats not held with a 10% deposit payment by that time will be released for the second phase of seat offers or Priority period, which commences on 23 September.

That means all other 2013 members of the Port Adelaide Football Club will be given exclusive access to purchase seating at the oval before sales are opened to the general public.

Those eligible members yet to take up their seat offer for the exclusive Guarantee period are encouraged to pay their 10% deposit on their seats by 5:00pm (ACST) on Friday afternoon, even if they are holding off in the hope of securing a better seat.

Port Adelaide's general manager of member services Matthew Richardson says the club's Member Services team will assist any members who may wish to still relocate from their current seat in the week prior to the Priority period opening.

"We know there might be some members with the seat-hold guarantee who aren't 100 per cent satisfied with their initial seat offer, but it's still important that they put down a 10% deposit on their seating category for 2014 if they plan to retain a membership at that level," said Mr Richardson.

"Our member services team will work with anyone who wishes to change their seating location next week to find the option that suits their needs. Once the 13 September deadline passes, all seats that do not have a deposit paid for them will be taken off hold and will become available for other members to select.”

"We are expecting an even higher uptake once the priority window opens on September 23, so it is important that members with this rare guarantee take up that offer by Friday."

Many premium seating options such as the new Black Diamond membership have prove extremely popular with members so far.

Over half of the Black Diamond seating capacity has been sold and is likely to be completely taken once the Priority period opens to all other club members on September 23.

Seats in Level Two of the Southern Stand (Platinum South category) and in premium positions on the eastern wing at ground level and in the upper tier have also proven popular.

Richardson's expectation of a swift seating uptake during the Priority period is supported by the high volume of calls to the club's member services hotline over the last month.

He is encouraging all members awaiting the Priority period to familiarise themselves with seating options available on the state-of-the-art Virtual Adelaide Oval platform on weareportadelaide.com.au.

"One of the primary objectives with seating allocations at Adelaide Oval in 2014 is to provide our members with the best possible opportunity to secure their preferred seating," said Mr Richardson.

"Therefore our existing 2013 members will have exclusive access to buy their seating through until mid-October when it then becomes available to non-members or the general public.

"In the lead up to September 23, I’d encourage members to spend some time on weareportadelaide.com.au and particularly Virtual Adelaide Oval to get a great perspective of the finished stadium and just how terrific it is going to be.

"They can get a feel for where they’d like to sit in 2014 and then as soon as the member Priority period opens they will be ready to buy and have the best opportunity to select from the best variety of seating options.”

“The great feature of Adelaide Oval in 2014 is that every seat in the Stadium provides an unparalleled viewing experience and I’m sure that when our members sit in their new seat for the historic first home game at Adelaide Oval in 2014 that will be blown away with what they see.”

Members interested in securing Essential Power unreserved membership in the Western Stand at Adelaide Oval can do so when the member Priority period commences on September 23.
