PORT ADELAIDE ruckman Jarrad Redden has undergone knee surgery and will miss at least eight to 10 weeks of full training.

Redden had shoulder, hip and knee surgery during 2013 and has been undergoing rehabilitation over the past few months.

Senior coach Ken Hinkley told portadelaidefc.com.au said unfortunately issues with the knee had persisted and the decision had been made that it was necessary for him to have further surgery.

“This is a decision based on getting Jarrad right so he can play as much football as possible in the 2014 season,” Hinkley said.

“He’ll now dedicate himself to his rehabilitation and work closely with our medical staff.”
