Macca19's Top 5 v Roos
Robbie Gray

Continued his outstanding form to start the year with another excellent game tonight. Played as a bonafide midfielder for much of the game and his class and clearance winning ability around the ball really gave us a spark all through the game. Was one that really stood up and tried to get us moving in the last quarter when everyone else was running on the spot. Given that, he's probably my BOG this week. Well done Robbie. Great to see him free of his knee and back to his best.

Matthew Broadbent
High in our best players. Found plenty of space across half back and pushing hard through the midfield. Gave us incredible run and carry through the corridor. Kicked what should have been a huge team lifting goal in the last quarter but it wasnt to be. His best game of the year and arguably, the best game of his career. Well done Cobra.

Alipate Carlile
Up there with best on ground. Petrie had 3 touches for the day. Carlile spoiled everything and crowded his space perfectly. Did ok with the ball in his hand. Excellent game

Dom Cassisi
Thought it was probably his best game this year so far. Really liked his attack at the ball and got plenty of the ball at stoppages. Was almost like the Dom of old for periods of that match. Well deserving of his ongoing spot in the side.

Angus Monfries
Hope it’s not a bad hammy. Was our best player to that point in the game and him going off had a huge influence. North couldn’t keep up with him and he was impacting the scoreboard. Led strongly, pushed up across half forward well and set up the play. Such a pity he went off.

Another huge game. You just have a feeling he's not going to be a player that will peak early and stagnant for most of his career like a Brock Mclean. He's the real deal. Did most of his work in close but once again hit the scoreboard. Not quite BOG, but not far off it.
