FOUR-TIME best and fairest Kane Cornes will qualify for AFL Life Membership against the West Coast Eagles this weekend.

The achievement comes exactly a year to the round - and the opponent - after he played his 250th game.

It also continues a prolific year of milestone achievements for the evergreen midfielder, having broken Port Adelaide's AFL games record in Round 12 last season.

Players who participate in 300 League-sanctioned games qualify for AFL Life Membership.

Cornes's 272 premiership season games as of this Saturday's match against the Eagles at Patersons Stadium will combine with his 26 pre-season matches and appearance in the Hall of Fame All-Stars match (listed as a State of Origin match) to warrant life membership.

Among those games is Cornes's participation in the 2004 premiership side for the Power.

The 10-year anniversary of that achievement was celebrated by the club against Brisbane last Saturday at the Adelaide Oval.
