PORT Adelaide supporter Craig McKay gives his top five players from the Power's 2-point loss to the Bombers at Adelaide Oval.

McKay's Top 5
Matt White
I thought he was our best player on the night. Didn’t have a lot of the ball, but I thought his ability to find space and give us some vital run really cut Essendon up a number of times. He just lacked some support in doing similar. Had a ripper first half and was one of his best four quarter performances of the year. Continues to impress!

Jasper Pittard
Really liked his game and whilst he made one or two errors, I didn’t think they were overly costly and he provided us with much needed run and creativity coming out of defence. Was one of the only players prepared to break the lines and take the game on through the corridor. Laid some good tackles and got himself in good position to be a nuisance to the Bombers.

Matt Lobbe
Thought he won the battle with Ryder and was great to see him taking a contested grab as the get out of jail option coming out of defence. Had to slot his goal though. His ruckwork was at its best. Won us plenty of clearances.

Jay Schulz
Didn’t have a lot to do on the night but was great whenever near it. 3 goals on a wet slippery night was great for a tall. Was the best of the talls on the park. It looked like Essendon were trying hard to put Schulz off his game by working him over off the ball a bit, but he stood strong.

Jack Hombsch
Really good game by Jack I thought. I thought his defensive work was fantastic on Daniher all night and he provided some decent run at times. Love this guy as a player and I don’t think there is any doubt that he has a massive future at Port Adelaide. Will be a key to our defence for a decade.
