ROBBIE Gray is free to play against Richmond on Sunday after the Match Review Panel cleared him of any wrongdoing in an incident involving Essendon's Paul Chapman.

The MRP said the force used was below the contact required to constitute a reportable offence, leaving Gray clear to play.

Chapman was also cleared, after the MRP reviewed evidence - including a medical report from the club - after it was deemed the force used was also below that required to constitute a reportable offence.

Meanwhile, Brendon Goddard has been offered a one-game ban with an early guilty plea for a level two engaging in rough conduct offence against Kane Cornes.

Goddard's report drew 225 points and a two-game ban, but with the early guilty plea, the ban could be reduced to one game.
