KANE CORNES has been offered a reprimand by the AFL Match Review Panel for an incident arising from Sunday’s 20-point loss to Richmond

Cornes was charged with a Level 2 offence for intentionally strking the Tigers’ Daniel Jackson in the first quarter.

The Match Review Panel adjudged the contact to be low impact and body contact, equating to 125 demerit points, which equates to a one-match ban.

That suspension could be downgraded to a reprimand with an early guilty plea, meaning he'd be free to play against Melbourne on Sunday.

Cornes and the club will assess their position before deciding a course of action.
