MATT White and Aaron Young will be assessed at training during the week to return from injury against Gold Coast on Saturday.

It will be welcome news for fans of the two running midfielders, with their pair's explosive running ability to add another layer to a Power line-up approaching full strength.

Tall forward John Butcher will also be monitored at training after being felled by viral meningitis two weeks ago.

He was released from hospital last week after responding well to treatment and may play for the Magpies in the SANFL this weekend.

"It's good to have most of your players become available at this time of year," Darren Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au.

"Matt has been looking better with the groin each week since he missed, and Youngy has responded well through his recovery.

"We'll see how they go, hopefully they'll pull up in time for the Suns match.

"As for Butch, meningitis is tough to bounce back from, so we'll continue to monitor him on the track this week and the club doctor will make a call from there."

Campbell Heath is also nearing the completion of his own rehabilitation, and could be back with a chance to play in the Magpies finals campaign if he completes the rehabilitation successfully.
