UPDATE Tuesday 19 August 2014 10:25am

FRIDAY night's blockbuster between the Power and Blues is likely to sell out in the coming days after the club's highest-demand 24-hour selling period overnight.

Over 1,300 general admission tickets were sold to the game since Monday morning, with around 1,000 extra standing-room only tickets released to the game.

Port Adelaide will release approximately 300 Black Diamond and Platinum seats for public sale at noon Tuesday.

But those tickets are expected to sell within minutes of their release, such is the unprecedented short-term sales demand.

Port Adelaide has also launched a 'Flash Sale' $50 membership for Friday night's game, which includes access to the Power-Blues clash, 2014 priority access to finals ticketing, priority access to 2015 memberships at the Adelaide Oval and a 2014 membership pack.

The Flash Sale ends at 9:00pm on Tuesday night.

Port Adelaide hosts Carlton at the Adelaide Oval at 7:20pm on Friday 22 August. Gates open at 5:00pm.

Original story: Fewer than 1,000 tickets remain for Friday night blockbuster Monday 19 August, 3:35pm

TICKET sales for Friday night's blockbuster between the Power and Blues appear likely to sell out this week, as supporters of both clubs rush to gain access to the final Port Adelaide minor round game at the Adelaide Oval.

It's the Power's first Friday night home game since the club hosted Hawthorn at AAMI Stadium in 2011.

Fewer than 1,000 general admission tickets remain for the game, with a small batch of reserved seats to be released on Wednesday morning.

The club will also launch a special 12-hour offer online tomorrow, allowing supporters to purchase a 2014 membership for $50, which gives access to the game, a membership pack and priority access to finals ticketing and 2015 memberships.

Port Adelaide's final home-and-away game at the Oval will see it commemorate the centenary of its all-conquering 1914 season with a 'Black and White Friday Night' and the club is encouraging all supporters in attendance to wear black and white as part of its celebration.

The evening will feature a series of commemorations on the Adelaide Oval big screens, including a 1914 retrospective video and special edition of Never Tear Us Apart before the first bounce.

A giant black-and-white guernsey banner will also be unfurled at the ground.

Port Adelaide's general manager of consumer business and marketing Matthew Richardson says the pre-game entertainment will not want to be missed by any of the club's supporters or members, with the game doubling as the Power's annual member recognition round.

"It's our final home-and-away game at the Adelaide Oval and we'll have plenty for our supporters to see and do," Mr Richardson told portadelaidefc.com.au.

"The most important things to remember are that tickets are selling fast on Ticketek, and if our members can't get to the game then we encourage them to hand their ticket over to a friend or family member.

"It will be a great opportunity to come and cheer our boys on against Carlton with some great entertainment throughout the game.

"There are limited general admission seats available, so we just reinforce the message that if you do have a general admission entry ticket or membership, get to the ground early as seating in the general admission areas is strictly on a first in basis."

Gates at the Adelaide Oval open at 5:00pm on Friday night.
