FOUR POINTS

Simply black and white?
Matt White is expected to line up for this clash after suffering a minor jaw crack against Richmond last Sunday.

White trained on Wednesday night and boarded the playing group's flight to Perth from Adelaide on Thursday afternoon, with Ken Hinkley projecting the No. 19 guernsey would be out there on Saturday afternoon.

If White does get over the minor injury for the game, he'll provide a vital and emphatic running boost for the Power.

Life on the edge
Port Adelaide is living on the edge, just like it was this time last year. A win on Saturday puts the Power through to the first preliminary final (which would also happen to be its first prelim since 2007) and a collossal match-up against Hawthorn at the MCG. Fremantle are vying for just as much and half all the advantages that come with playing at home, and with one of the most competetive line-ups in the competition, they'll be hard to beat.

Lyon's roar
Freo's coach pointed it out during the week: Fremantle isn't Richmond or Carlton. Fremantle have had a consistent year, littered with many examples of muscle-flexing and emphatic performance. As a honed footballing outfit, the purple haze will bring the same tough game style that punished Port in the third quarter in Round 23, so the Power needs to be on its 'A game' right from the get-go, with its best contested game and sharpest shooting.

Do that and you'll go a long way towards winning.

Will they play?
Barlow on crutches (and wearing a moonboot), Ballantyne nursing a broken jaw - the question on every Port supporter's lips is whether they'll be named on Thursday night. Don't be surprised if they are...
