PORT Adelaide has cracked the 10,000-member mark, just a fortnight into its latest membership drive.

It’s an encouraging result and one which, when compared to previous seasons, stacks up well.

Subscriptions Exhausted

The demand has currently exhausted subscriptions to Essential-category (Western Stand) seats, meaning prospective members will need to join the club’s Wait List for the chance to secure any further Essential Gold seats that may become available.

The club anticipates around 10 per cent of existing reserved seats and a number of unreserved Western Stand memberships may become available to Wait List subscribers in January.

Port Adelaide’s general manager – marketing and consumer business Matthew Richardson explains the Wait List system is the only way for prospective members to ‘get in line’ for Essential (Western Stand) and reserved seating.

“Based on historical renewal rates we anticipate around 2,000 reserved seats will become available, so we encourage anyone wanting a reserved seat next year to join our Wait List," he says.

“There is a good chance you will be offered a reserved seat if you are on the Wait List.

“We’ll need to wait and see how many of our Essential Western Stand members renew by the December 19 deadline to determine how many more Essential Gold memberships we can release in January.

“There is a Wait List for Essential memberships as well.”

A small number of reserved Western Stand seats may become available in early 2015, based on availability.

Existing Western Stand reserved seat members to be contacted by the club in January for the opportunity to renew for next season.

Renewal Deadlines

Friday 19 December is the key deadline for the vast majority of last season's members.

Membership renewals and seat change requests must be submitted by 19 December.

Seat change requests must also be completed along with a membership renewal.

"With such high demand at the moment there is a wait on the phones and we thank people for their patience," says Richardson.

"Members are welcome to hold or register for a 'call back' and our system then automatically contacts these people in order.

"Alternatively they can renew our join online at www.weareportadelaide.com.au  or email the club at membership@pafc.com.au  and we will respond to their queries.

"I’d like to assure all members that we will follow up their queries prior to the 19 December renewal deadline."
