"It’s probably just the way we used the footy – our method. Our out of stoppage wasn’t great and their backs had a really big influence on the game. We didn’t help our forwards out with the way we bought the footy forward for them. Their defenders worked really well together and were able to intercept."

"Up until half time I felt we were really in the game. We probably gave up too many points in the first half, but I felt we were in the game, if we tweaked a few things. In that second half, they got on top. They defended us really well – full credit to them."

"It’s obviously very disappointing. We pride ourselves on being able to run out games and run over opposition, and we couldn’t get to the job and it’s very disappointing."

"We’ve got the take the game on more. I think we’re getting dictated to too much by opposition and going into our shells a little bit, so we’ve got to keep taking the game on otherwise we get cramped up and opposition pretty much take control of the game."

Brad Ebert
"It’s not been four quarters, I guess. That’s what we’re finding. We’re still trying to find that consistent four-quarter game, and I think that’s what people have expected of us over the last few years."

"We’re not backing away from how we feel or anything like that – we’re confident and we know our best footy is good enough, we just haven’t been able to deliver it consistently. I think we are confident we’ll click at some stage, but it’ll just come back to making sure we’re doing the right things during the week."
