FOUR QUARTERS

THE STAKES
A win will keep Port placed to firm up a top three position - one win behind the Eagles in second currently and a win ahead of West in fourth, the Maggies are fighting in a competetive race for the finals in the second half of the year. Its percentage is OK, but not as strong as it should be, so strong wins are on top of Port's checklist. The Crows are still a mathematical chance of making the five, but will need to win games like this in the second half of the year if they're going to be in with a shot.

THE STOCKS
Port Adelaide is poised to welcome Paul Stewart, Karl Amon and Logan Austin back this week, while the Crows have Brad Crouch, Jake Lever and Taylor Walker in the mix to return at either AFL or SANFL level.

THE HISTORY
Aside from what exists between Port and the Crows in the AFL? It's three games that have gone all the way of the Magpies since the first battle at Clare in 2014.

THE VIBE
Obviously this Port-Crows rivalry isn't on the same scale of the long-established AFL animosity, but with the Magpies now playing for a double chance, a win to start the second half of season is essential.
