PADDY Ryder’s Achilles has healed and he’s ready to be named in the Power’s team to play Sydney at the SCG on Thursday night.

Having taken an additional week to recover during the bye where he successfully participated in a match simulation last week, Ryder will be good to go against the Swans according to Port Adelaide’s head of high performance Darren Burgess.

“He’s done well, he’s feeling really confident,” Burgess said.

“Getting the bye in is good, he did a match sim last week and completed it really, really well, we’re confident he’ll get through.”

Matt White’s recovery from a hamstring injury is on track, with the hard-running midfielder a month away from returning.

“Because it was a significant hamstring with some tendon involvement he’s still a couple of weeks away,” Burgess said.

“He’s running really well and keen to get back in.”

Jared Polec will be out for an indefinite period of time after scans indicated a natural healing process would be suitable for his injured navicular bone.
