We take a look at four big factors going into Thursday night's game against the Swans...

Us…

One change offers a stable line-up with Paddy Ryder adding height to Port Adelaide's forward line when resting, and giving Matt Lobbe a chop out in the ruck. Facing the Swans with an extra week of recovery thanks to a bye is handy, but more important is seeing whether the Power can bounce back from a poor start to the season.

SELECTION: POWER MAKES ONE CHANGE

And them…

The Swans have been in good form - save for a blip against the Tigers last week - but have made three changes thanks to suspensions to Lance Franklin and Kurt Tippett and the omission of Merickx. Talls have been brought into the red-and-whites with Towers, Pyke and debutant Nankervis.

SELECTION: THREE CHANGES FOR SWANS

What we loved last week

We didn't play last week. But...

What we didn’t…

We didn't love much about the way we last played. Nor did the coaches, nor the players.  Nor did anyone really.

REVIEW: KEN'S ASSESSMENT

What we want

Four quarters of hard, aggressive Brand Port Adelaide footy. The signs have been there all year that this group and play a world-beating game, but it's been patchy in quarters as well as entire games. Against the Swans at the SCG there's no greater challenge than producing your own gameplan against a polished defensive side. The loss of Tippett and Franklin hurts the Swans, but it makes them less predictable, and that isn't necessarily a good thing for any opponent.
