Fans MVP: Wines tops the fans' votes after stunning effort against Collingwood

OLLIE Wines played his best game of the year to be awarded the maximum five votes in the Wok in a Box Fans’ MVP Award for the Power's Round 15 match against Collingwood.

Wines dominated the stoppages and contested ball, relishing the wet conditions as he gathered 33 disposals, including 17 contested, eight clearances, and 10 tackles.

Fans can log onto fansmvp.portadelaidefc.com.au and cast 3-2-1 votes after each game. These votes are tallied and then scaled to award five votes to the player with the most fans votes in that round, four votes to the player with the second most votes, and so on.

Jack Hombsch once again played a shut-down role, this time keeping Travis Cloke goalless and earning four votes, while the other vote getters were Justin Westhoff (three), Chad Wingard (two) and Robbie Gray (one).

Gray maintains his lead with Wingard, Brad Ebert, Travis Boak, Hombsch and Wines all chasing.

Nathan Krakouer has been awarded the maximum five votes from the fans’ after the Round 13 match against Norwood.

In the one point loss, Krakouer played a crucial role in defence by mopping up Norwood’s forward entries and kicking clear for Magpies counterattacks.

Steven Summerton continued the form that sees him lead the Fans’ MVP, earning four votes for his strong display around the ball.

Other players to gather votes were Aaron Young (three), Tom Logan (two) and Kane Mitchell (one).
