WONDERING why Jackson Trengove was sporting a no. 23 guernsey during the GWS game on Saturday?

...because he had none left of his own.

There was plenty of fire out on the field in a very physical clash, where four Power guernseys ended up casualties of the battle.

The club always has a number of spares on hand including two of each number, plus those of the named emergency players.

Jacko managed to go through both of his own during the game, and on the third change, was forced to take teammate Matthew Lobbe's no. 23 guernsey out on loan!

Robbie Gray and Jasper Pittard had to swap into their spare clobber mid-game too, after their guernseys also copped hefty wear and tear.

The club’s resident uniform specialist, property steward David ‘Goody’ Goodwin, reckons Saturday’s clash also holds the record for the most Power guernseys lost during one game.

“I’ve been with the club for 40 years, and I’ve never seen that many in one match before,” Goody said.

“We’d lose, on average, three or four guernseys each season. But to have four in one game is unheard of!”

The good people at ISC are re-stocking brand new #12, #9 and #29 guernseys for the boys, ready in time for the Freo clash!
