portadelaidefc.com.au got the thoughts of four players after Saturday night's win over the Suns.

Nathan Krakouer

We tried to play smart footy, just trying to get territory and when it came to a contest we’d try to get it forward – just basic wet weather footy. Nothing special.

The fight? I didn’t see it at first. I was tying my shoelace before half time and looked back and all the boys were wrestling around. I went over there to grab a couple of boys. I think that got us going. It got our blood boiling and up for the second half.

TALKING POINTS: Power v Suns

Brad Ebert

It was hard-fought. We all worked pretty hard and it was a real scrappy sort of fight to wear Gold Coast down and maintain our intensity for four quarters. It’s good to have a couple of guys hitting some really good form – Sam Gray, Hamish is playing really well, Ah Chee has been good lately. We want to keep it going next week.

HINKLEY: We need to finish tough

Hamish Hartlett

We've played much better footy the last three weeks in particular. The guys are having a bit more of a crack around the contest. We won the conetsted and tackle count by a fair bit, which is pleasing in those conditions. Throughout the year we've let ourselves down against teams that are a little lower on the ladder so to get a six goal win is incredibly pleasing.

MVP: Vote for your top three

Aaron Young

It was good to be there for the start of the game this time, I enjoyed not having to turn a cab around from the airport.

Coming on in pretty tough conditions was pretty hard. Clean possession was tough, in the last quarter we just tried to urge the ball forward and in the end we got the reward for effort.
