PORT Adelaide supporters still rate the club's historic rivalry with Norwood as the best in the league.

The Port-Norwood rivalry has simmered across the last 137 years with the two clubs playing in more grand finals and winning more premierships than any other teams.

The BIG PORT SURVEY quizzed Port Adelaide supporters on the teams they loved to hate in both the AFL and SANFL.

In the local league, Norwood still led the way for drawing the greatest level of dislike, with 38.29% of respondents.

But a new generations of fans have found modern rivalries to take the cake.

The Adelaide Crows polled second, with 22% of the vote, no doubt a symptom of the AFL animosity between the teams of  Alberton and West Lakes.

Noughties powerhouse Central District - the Magpies' opposition in the Sunday's SANFL First Semi Final - were third, ahead of Port's eighties and nineties rival Glenelg - which polled just 40 votes behind the Bulldogs.

Sturt, North, Woodville-West Torrens, South and West brought up the rear.
