Dear Graham,

It's time.

We know you must be hurting, after all, your son is now coaching that club you used to go for, which still wears that jumper you used to love.

And like any good love story, we know there’s been some challenges in the relationship.

A couple of key moments in the 1970s, 80s and 90s come to mind.

But your boys love the footy club, and we reckon its high time you come back to feeling that love too.

You know we’ve already got your sons in the fold, and your grandsons will be too, under the father-son rule.

Yep, 'Cornes' is about as Port Adelaide as you get.

But hey, we get that you’ll need some convincing – hell, since you’ve been to Glenelg, you’ve never been the same.

So here’s our seven reasons why you should cut up that Crows ambassadorship and come over to the dark side...

We have Cornseys.

1.       One son is arguably the greatest Port Adelaide player in its AFL history..

Kane retired a 300-gamer, four-time best and fairest winner, premiership player.

2.       The other is one of its most revered…

Chad played in the ‘04 flag, but while his list of personal achievements is a little shorter than some others, his legacy as the Power’s No. 1 enforcer remains to this day.

 3.       We know you loved us as a kid

And you’re on the record as saying you did when you were growing up in Whyalla…

 4.       And your greatest football moment was with Port Adelaide

You’ve said it yourself - your sons playing in the 2004 premiership was your "best moment" in footy - the Cornes surname lives at the heart of this club.

 5.       You clearly don’t hate us that much if you can wear this…

 6.       You wanted to see Port Adelaide win (at least when the boys were playing)

 7.      And you’ve been part of some great Port Adelaide moments…

We’re talking 1977, 1981, 1988, 1990 especially...

Come on Graham. It’s time to break down the iron curtain between you and us and fully embrace Port Adelaide.

We have.
