TRAVIS Boak’s leadership has again been recognised with his crowning as the Fos Williams Medallist as Port Adelaide’s best team man for the third consecutive year.

The Power captain was voted by his peers as best upholding the club’s values of selflessness, professionalism, leadership, courage, loyalty as well as being the player who best represented the team’s values of brave, consistent and ruthless.

With such difficult criteria for any player to meet, Boak continued to preserve through one of his most challenging personal seasons on the field, where he drew the opposition’s best stoppers on numerous occasions, to will himself into games.

It’s his leadership off the field which was undoubtedly front-and-centre in teammates minds when the votes were cast, Boak’s leadership also drawing him recognition from the league’s players earlier in 2015 when he was voted the sixth-best captain of all the AFL clubs.

Jack Hombsch was the only other player to be considered for the award, the popular and hard-working defender able to take encouragement from his nomination by the playing group.
