TOM Logan, Alipate Carlile and Steven Summerton have been awarded life membership of the Port Adelaide Football Club.

Each filling the minimum criteria of 10 years service and 100 games of football for player life membership, the trio were acknowledged for their long-standing contributions to the club.

Summerton, Port Adelaide’s SANFL captain, was first to receive the honour, having first played League football for the club in 2005.

During that time he has become the captain of the club in the state league, and a multiple A.R. McLean Medallist.

Logan retired after 114 games with Port Adelaide after joining the club in 2006 having originally started with the Brisbane Lions.

He spent his retirement last season playing with the Magpies as a senior defender and player mentor, and will continue working with Port Adelaide in 2016 as an Academy assistant coach and the club’s league runner.

Carlile continues to play as a lynchpin of the Power’s defence. Starting his career in 2006, Carlile has become a versatile and highly underrated full back for the club.

2015 marked a strong year on-field for Carlile, polling his first Brownlow votes against Hawthorn in on Anzac Day, and being ranked in the top three of the John Cahill Medal count after the first five rounds.
