A MATCH made in heaven? We’re sure it is, but for Port lad Thanasi and Brisbane lady Sarah, there might be a few arguments at the matrimonial dinner table.

Thanasi and Sarah only recently got married, but the avid Port man was presented with a big dilemma.

How could he marry the love of his life and set himself for a lifetime of bliss and happiness, and yet risk being doomed to fighting for the TV remote with a Brisbane supporter?

The answer, it seems, was simple: bring a Port Adelaide scarf to your wedding and begin a quest to convert her to the light side.

Now, converting anyone from their footy team is often a big ask, so to help Thanasi on his mission to switch Sarah’s loyalties, we've prepared six reasons why Sarah should ditch the Lions and jump on Port:

Port Adelaide defeated Brisbane in the 2004 Grand Final. But if that’s not enough...

Brisbane’s 2003 Norm Smith Medallist Shaun Hart is the Power’s director of coaching.

And Lions super skipper Michael Voss is Port’s midfield manager.

If you’re living in Adelaide, you can only watch Brisbane play a maximum of two times a year, you can see the Power 11 times.

Thanasi seems like a really nice bloke, so your wedding present should simply be a Port Adelaide membership.

MEMBERSHIP: Buy or renew for 2016 and get on board with Port Adelaide

We love cheesy puns, and we really hope that nothing ever tears you and Thanasi apart.

Thanasi is pretty confident the conversion is making progress.

“The photo was just a bit of fun, she [Sarah] was just putting on the face for the camera,” he told portadelaidefc.com.au.

“Sarah goes for Brissy, and I love the Power – that’s my best man holding the scarf with me – I think I’m slowing bringing her round.

“I’m paying for my 2016 membership tonight actually, we’ve been members ever year, and we sit in the eastern stand at the Oval – it’s a great spot, love it.”

We just hope Thanasi is putting through a payment for an extra membership this year!
