SKIP the beach this Friday afternoon and head to Alberton instead!

A sunny 30-degree day is forecast - excellent conditions for Port Adelaide’s annual Family Day at its spiritual home of Alberton Oval.

There will be a range of stalls and entertainment on show for fans of all ages, including player signing sessions, food stalls, giveaways, a photo booth, and an internal trial match.

Sporting guernseys voted on by the fans, two teams made up of a mixture of AFL and SANFL players will go head-to-head in a fully-fledged football match.

This is the first chance to see the Port boys in action in 2016 as its pre-season ramps up heading into the NAB Challenge.

The Power will take on the Sydney Swans in Blacktown on February 20, while the Magpies will host the Central Australian Redtails at Alberton on February 21.

Gates open for Family Day at 4:00pm and the trial match will have its first bounce at 5:00pm.
