LAST TRIAL GAME
2015, Adelaide SANFL 15.12 (102) def Port Adelaide 11.6 (72) at Alberton Oval

THE FOUR POINTS
1. This is Chad Cornes's first game as senior coach of Port Adelaide's SANFL team. Ironically his first game as an AFL player was against the Crows at Football Park.

2. The Magpies will have many of their AFL players flow into this side following their close loss to Sydney in the NAB Challenge last week, expect this to be a relatively full-strength line-up in the black and white.

3. This will be Adelaide's first SANFL trial game for the year, and it will likely field an returning list of their development squad throughout the season. Names like Josh Wittwer, Charlie Molyneux, Brock Castree Matthew Spenceley and Luke Carey are among the players expected to feature again this year.

4. With Kieran Agius signing a contract to join Port Adelaide's eligible group of League players, Port Adelaide could play a significant number of this group on Saturday morning. Captain Steven Summerton will have a fitness test to see whether he can return from a recent back complaint.

FINAL WORD

This will be a good chance for Cornes to familiarise himself with the coaches' box at Alberton, and to test his group against one of last year's form sides.
