MATTHEW LOBBE will have scans this week after suffering a knock to his knee in Port Adelaide’s SANFL loss to Sturt on Sunday afternoon.

The ruckman played his first state league game for the season after being omitted from the Power’s line-up for Round 6, and had 27 hit outs before leaving the ground in the second quarter.

Lobbe didn’t return to the field after the long break, with Port Adelaide’s SANFL senior coach Chad Cornes saying the decision was made to keep him ‘off legs’ for the rest of the day as a precaution.

“‘Lobbes’ [was] obviously fairly serious,” Cornes said.

“He [Lobbe] is not sure what it is, so we’ll need to wait for the scan [during the week].”

The Double Blues won the game by 63 points.
